Bentside Spinet
    |
|
The Bentside Spinet represents an instrument typical of both Italian and English
tradition of the first half of the 18th century. Claudio TUZZI's instrument is an
elaboration of the historical originals in order to reach an extension of 5 octaves
together with tonal transposition.
In this way, the entire harpsichord repertoire may be played and in particular it
represents an excellent instrument for the "continuo" and is also ideal for a
variety of Consorts. F-Sharp on the low octave was removed as it is a note that is
never present in a harpsichord repertoire; in addition, there is greater respect of
the characteristics of the original instruments.
Claudio Tuzzi's Bentside Spinet was chosen by famous musical musicians and institutions
including Marianne Müller, Kurt Luedens, Music School of Louè - Le Mans, the Musical
Centre of the new residence of the Alessandrina Library in Alexandria (Egypt) and used for
the concerts of the "Accademia di Francia - Villa Medici" in Rome.
